The world’s most romantic hotel

Imagine waking up feeling like you’re floating in the sky with birds singing in their nests next to you and tree limbs arching over your bed. This is the experience of sleeping in our extraordinary treehouses at Lucero. Built 18 feet above the ground in the spreading branches of our magnificent cloud forest trees, they are a childhood fantasy come to life.

View from the sky

The view from your bedroom in the sky

A natural high

A wooden suspension bridge acts as the rustic entryway to your luxurious space in the sky. To complete the fantasy the rooms are outfitted with a rain-shower, fridge, coffee maker, Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV, as well as a plush bed — so you need never leave your airy perch. The 360 degree views are truly birds-eye and overlook the fairways, the Caldera valley and stretch out as far as the Pacific Ocean. From the living room you can hear the soothing sounds of the Agua Blanca river.

Our preferred cocktail for perfect happiness? Something tropical made with Ron Abuelo Centuria 30-year-old rum (also named best new bourbon by Forbes) and fresh local fruit. Perfect to watch the sun go down from the balcony and see the parrots winging home. All sound a bit exhausting? Don’t worry, you’re steps from your inviting bed and down duvet.

Come and Play a (Virtual) Round of Golf

We can talk about how challenging and beautiful the Lucero course is or we can simply show you. Take a photographic tour through some of our favorite holes – it’s almost like being there. Well not really, but it’s better than sitting and staring at your inbox.

The River View hole 3 – par 3

At hole 3 it’s hard not to be distracted by the amazing view onto Caldera spreading across the beautiful valley basin below. The tropical landscaping and soon to come luxury tree houses will have you perched setting up your drive for even longer.

Golf for Good: The Bid4Boquete Tournament Debuts at Lucero

The sun was shining, the bird(ie)s were singing and $6,600 was raised for local charities at the first annual Bid4Boquete Tee Off 2015 Charity Golf Tournament at Lucero. No one managed to make the $50,000 Hole in One, but there’s always next year. The fun’s not over this weekend: there’s a silent auction, bake sale and loads of activities for kids. See you there?

Hole 3 brought the drama –

$50,000 (!) up for grabs for a hole-in-one.

Living in Boquete, Panama, certainly has its perks

We’re giving you a peek into what it’s like to live in one of the world’s most beautiful places, Boquete, Panama. From the everyday to the inspired day, where to go and how to play our beautiful championship course, Lucero Living is our way of sharing (and occasionally showing off) this vibrant Central American hotspot.

What Does Your Dream Home Look (and Sound) Like?

The hardest choice you’ll have to make at Lucero is the sound you fall asleep to from your custom home. The rushing Agua Blanca River from the Riverside Duplexes? Or the calls of quetzals and toucans settling down for the night? Lucero is built on a stunning and expansive golf course tucked into the lush Boquete hills 3,366 feet (1,010 meters) above sea level and has as many choices of home designs as there are views.

Lucero Homes & Golf Master Plan

Living the dream has diverse meanings at Lucero: a turnkey Jazmin condominium, a gleaming contemporary villa like the Ave de Paraiso or being as close as possible to the 1st hole in a stylish Fairway Duplexes. But there is one thing every home has in common — craftsmanship. From granite counter tops to ceramic floors and hardwood doors, the finishing touches look and feel amazing. And if your vision includes your very own design, you can create a completely custom home using your own architect and builders. There’s no such things as a limit to your dreams at Lucero.

Panama’s Most Beautiful View (We Think You’ll Agree)

We didn’t make this up. This really is the view (no filter) from the highest golf course in Central America, perched 3,600 ft. up in Panama’s Boquete highlands. Lucero Golf and Country Club has vistas so stunning they should have their own hashtag. But as beautiful as the lush hillsides, rushing rivers and soaring mountains are, it’s the things you can’t see – the fresh flower-scented air and birdsong – that make you feel like you’re playing in Shangri-la.

The locals managed to keep their nirvana secret until it was discovered to be a fantastic place to grow coffee – the world’s best in thanks to the volcanic soil and temperate climate. Now plantations dot the hillsides, organic citrus fruit, vegetables and strawberries fills the farmer’s market and a thriving community of expats enjoy the daily 72 degree weather and laid back, lifestyle.

The valley has also become a cultural mecca, with events like The Boquete Jazz and Blues Festival and Feria de las Flores y del Café and a thriving food scene. It’s also the adventure-hub of Panama with white-water rafting, zip-lining, hiking, horseback riding and golf. Well, playing golf where the green touches the clouds, with views that stretch as far as the Pacific Ocean, could be considered adventurous right? And then strolling back to your custom home with resplendent quetzals and howler monkeys for neighbours and experimenting with a new sun downer each night surely counts.
